ETSU SWEEPS RADFORD IN COLLEGE BASEBALL

East Tennessee State defeated Radford 4-1 and 5-2 to sweep a doubleheader from the Highlanders in college baseball Tuesday.

Tim Holbert pitched a complete game three-hitter and struck out nine for the Buccaneers (13-9) in the first game. Eddie Healy went 3-for-3 and added a homer for the winners.

In the second game, ETSU scattered nine hits scored four runs in the third inning to drop the Highlanders (10-6), who got two hits apiece from Donnie Just and Tom Curran. - Staff report
