FEDERALISM LECTURE, PANEL

The Virginia Tech Department of Urban Affairs and Planning is sponsoring a lecture on government relations under the federal system Thursday at 8 p.m. in Squires Student Center's Colonial Room.

Alice Rivlin, visiting professor of public policy at George Mason University, will speak on "New Federalism." She is the author of "Reviving the American Dream," a book on the changes needed to promote a more productive economy.

A panel Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Norris Hall, room 136, includes Rivlin; Carl Stenberg, of the University of Virginia's Center for Public Service; and Richard Zody, urban affairs and planning professor at Tech. Both events are free. Call 231-6042.
