HOSPITALS OWE $200 MILLION, REPORT FINDS

Hospitals nationwide owe the government more than $200 million for overcharging Medicare, according to internal report at the Department of Health and Human Services.

The report is based on audits of 76 hospitals around the country. The audit results were mathematically projected to a nationwide estimate of the overpayments. - Associated Press
