Vernon Odell Hoback, age 77, of Roanoke, formerly of Floyd, Va., died Wednesday, March 18, 1992 in a Salem hospital. He was retired from Singer Furniture Company. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Muncy Hoback; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin James and Mary Hoback, New Castle; Jacob Dorsey and Ellouise Hoback, Roanoke County; stepdaughter, Mrs. Dianne Poff Hedrick, Salem; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Robin Colwell officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
