LOVERN, MOSIE P.

Mosie P. Lovern, age 70, of Stratford Park Dr., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 17, 1992. He was a retired insurance adjuster for State Farm Insurance Company, a member of the U.C.T., American Legion Post #3, and was a deacon at the Crystal Spring Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Ellis Lovern. Surviving are his wife, Margaret King Lovern; three sons and daughters-in-law, Meredith Wayne and Sue Lovern, Roanoke; Michael Patrick and Joan Lovern, Maurice Lee and Trudy Lovern, all of Danville; daughter and son-in-law, Marianna L. and Richard Wilmoth, Danville; eight grandsons, Mark Lovern and wife, Helen, Christian Lovern, all of Roanoke; Michael Patrick Lovern, II, Chris Lovern, Kent Lovern, Eric Lovern, Jason Wilmoth, Byron Wilmoth, all of Danville; granddaughter, Stephanie Lovern Payne, Danville; great-grandson, Aaron Patrick Payne, Danville; three brothers, E.D. Lovern, Roanoke; Carl Estle Lovern, Sarasota, Fla.; Ralph Lovern, Montvale; three sisters, Juanita Burford, Evelyn Sult, both of Roanoke; Mable McCrickard, Shawsville. Also surviving are many true and faithful friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Van Fund at Crystal Spring Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Harry E. Leland officiating. Interment with military honors by the V.F.W. Post #1264 will be in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
