Edward Lee Saunders, age 83 of Hudson Drive, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992 in the Radford Community Hospital. He was a Veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of McDonald Douglas Corp. Preceded in death by his wife, Lyla Irene Saunders. He is survived by one sister, Virginia S. Bird, Vinton; a brother, Raymond F. Saunders, Rich Creek; a stepdaughters, Virginia Byrne, Chicago, Ill.; grandson, Geoff Baere; one granddaughter; one niece and two nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday from the graveside in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, conducted by Rev. Richard H. Horne. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Friday morning at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
