Entries are being accepted for the Doctor's Day 8K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, scheduled March 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Victory Stadium.
The entry fee for the 8K is $12, and fees for the mile are $4 for adults and $2 for children 15 and younger. Payment must be received by Monday. After that date, fees will be $14, $5 and $3, respectively.
Late registration will be held March 28 from 1-5 p.m. at Martin Travel at Towers Mall. On race day, registration and packet pickup will be held at Victory Stadium from noon-1 p.m.
Awards in the 8K will be given overall and in several age categories. All participants will be eligible to win door prizes.
The Roanoke Academy of Medicine Auxiliary is sponsoring the event to benefit the League of Older Americans, Ronald McDonald House and the Roanoke Valley 1987 Special Olympics world championship basketball team.
