Mrs. Katherine Wheaton Bryant, of Center Avenue, N.W., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 1992, in a local hospital. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Margaret (Edgar) Whitlock, Roberta (Bernie) Mitchell, Charlotte Bryant Hairston, all of Roanoke; Hazel (George) Jones, Bronx, N.Y.; one brother, Raymond Wheaton; two sisters, Elizabeth Wright, Virginia Saunders; two brothers-in-law, Duncan Wright, James Simmons, all of Roanoke; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three nieces; five nephews; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Loudon Avenue Christian Church, the Rev. William Lee officiating, with burial in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Hamlar-Curtis, morticians.
