LYNCHBURG - Mrs. Mary Booth Martin, age 89, of Lynchburg, formerly of Salem, passed March 18, 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brainard G. Martin; son, Robert B. Martin; daughter, Louise M. Cox; grandson, Robert Gary Martin. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Anne and E.H. (Andy) Williams, Lynchburg; granddaughters and their husbands, Jane and Ruben Terry; Amy and Douglas Moore; Bobby Jo and Bill Gregory; grandsons and their wives, Daniel M. and Paula Martin; Thomas M., Jr. and Nancy Cox; John E. Williams; Stephen and Susan Williams; also six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nell V. Jones, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon, Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Salem, with the Rev. Thomas L. Joyce and the Rev. Jonathan L. Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Salem. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
