OBIT-TYREE, T.

Thelma B. Tyree, of 3780 Stratford Park Dr., Roanoke, died Thursday, March 19, 1992, in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Melvin DeWitt Tyree and a member of Clearbrook Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, June Taylor, Roanoke; Sandra Watkins, Blue Ridge; one son, Melvin Ronald Tyree, Danville; five grandchildren, Michael Tench, Richmond; Ricky Tench, Roanoke; Susan Baum, N.C.; Kimberley Flanary and Mark Tyree, both of Roanoke; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Arthur and Mary Wertz, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel 10:00 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Chester Lykins officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Oakey's South Chapel.
