MARABLE LEADS MAROONS TO ODAC GOLF VICTORY

Sophomore Matt Marable led the Maroons to the Roanoke College Invitational title Thursday at Hanging Rock Golf Club.

Marable earned medalist honors by shooting a 3-over-par 76 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference event. Washington and Lee's Clay Thomas and Lynchburg's Mike Crabtree tied for second at 78.

Roanoke had a 326 team score, followed by Lynchburg at 328, Washington and Lee, 330; Guilford, 334; Hampden-Sydney, 346; and Emory & Henry, 365. - Staff report
