LEARN A LESSON FROM NRA TACTICS

A RECENT conversation may interest those in favor of gun control.

I received a phone call from a candidate for Congress inviting us to meet him at a local rally. I agreed, adding: "I will ask one question. Will you accept money from the National Rifle Association?"

There was a silence, then he said: "Aren't you interested in the other issues?"

I replied, "Yes, but the National Rifle Association is interested in only one. Until we adopt their tactics, there will be continued gunfire in our schools." CARRINGTON C. TUTWILER JR. LEXINGTON
