ACC STARS TO PLAY GAME AT BASSETT

Several ACC basketball seniors, including Duke All-American Christian Laettner, have committed to play in the 14th annual ACC All-Star Basketball Classic on April 11 at Bassett High School.

North Carolina State's Tom Gugliotta and North Carolina's Hubert Davis also are expected to play against a team of former Henry County and Martinsville athletes. Several current Division II and Division III players will play, as permitted by the NCAA; they include Roanoke College's Kevin Martin and Ross Kirtley of Emory & Henry.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. They are available in Collinsville at the high school, the News Den and Athlete's Attire; in Martinsville at A.M. Martin's Sports and Hobby Center; and at all Speedway Centers. Mail orders will be accepted through April 6; send a money order only (no checks) for the number of tickets with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Bassett Bengals Booster Club, P.O.
