Mari Anne Turner and Anthony Ray Borg were married March 21, 1992, in
Oakland Baptist Church. The Reverend Kelly Dampeer officiated the double ring
ceremony. The reception was held at the Sheraton Inn-Airport. The maid of
honor was Amanda Turner of Roanoke, Va., sister of the bride. The bridesmaids
were Denise Armstrong of Greenwood, S. C.; Pamela Cundiff of Roanoke, Va.;
Yvette Graziano of Springhill, Fla., sister of the groom; Mollie Grim of
Virginia Beach, Va.; and Danielle Zaleski of Buchanan, Va. The flowergirl was
Danielle Auffant of Vincentown, N. J., cousin of the groom. The best man was
Michael Zaleski of Buchanan, Va. The groomsmen were Eddie Arnold of Long
Island, N. Y.; Jack Auffant of Long Island, N. Y.; and Rick Auffant of Long
Island, N. Y., cousins of the groom; Michael Bishop of Roanoke, Va.; and
Michael Turner of Roanoke, Va., brother of the bride. The ringbearer was
Anthony Graziano of Springhill, Fla., nephew of the groom. The guestbook was
attended by Danielle Brugh of Salem, Va. The organ was played by Ann Armstrong
of Columbia, S. C., and solos were sung by JoEllen Armstrong of Fredricksburg,
Va. The wedding was directed by Pamela Dwier of Roanoke, Va. The photographs
were taken by Barry Brooks Photography. Flowers by Granny. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Turner of Roanoke, Va. She is a graduate of
Northside High School. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony G. Borg of
Springhill, Fla. He is a graduate of William Floyd High in New York and is
self-employed. After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in New
York.
