BOWERS-WEAVER
Alison Ann Weaver and David Allen Bowers were married March 7, 1992, in the
Ballroom of the Patrick Henry Hotel. Mr. Murray A. Stoller, Marriage
Commissioner, performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister,
Laura Weaver Sullivan, and by Mary Lynn Bowers and Bonnie Bowers Kling,
sisters of the groom. The groomsmen were Robert Bowers, Paul Bowers and Thomas
Bowers, brothers of the groom. Carla Webb and Jennifer Skelton were greeters.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert L. Weaver of Eagle Rock. A
graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Virginia Tech, she is self-employed
as a writer and editor. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bowers of
Roanoke. He is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, Belmont Abbey College
and Loyola University School of Law. He is an attorney in private practice and
serves on Roanoke City Council. The couple will reside in Roanoke.
