SIFERS, LINDA E. Linda Elaine Sifers, age 93, of Salem, died Friday. She
was preceded in death by a son, James A. Sifers; a daughter, Zella Vaughan; a
brother, Perry Sweeney. She is survived by her children, Stella Potter of
Salem; Lorraine Lester of Salem; Madlene Strouth of Md.; Ray V. Sifers of
Roanoke; Billy A. Sifers of Md.; sisters, Nora Webb and Ferbie Lakin; 42
grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral
Home Chapel, Salem with the Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Friends may call at
the funeral home.
