OBIT RIDGEWAY, A.
RIDGEWAY, ALTIE E. SEBRING, FLORIDA - Mr. Altie Edward Ridgeway, of
Sebring, Fla., died March 19, 1992, at the Highlands Regional Medical Center
in Sebring, Fla. He was the son of Altie Frank Ridgeway and Mary Ann Patsel.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the navy, and was retired from
General Electric Company. He was a resident of Sebring since 1985, was
formerly of Roanoke, and was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church in
Roanoke and a member of the Blue Ridge Holiday Ramblers Camping Club. He is
survived by his wife, Freda Hobbs Ridgeway; daughters, Edwina Reynolds,
Roanoke; Narva Brown, Roanoke; Joy Germany, Manassas; sisters, Viola Merkel,
Richmond; Thelma Griffin, Hartsville, S.C.; brother, Charlie Ridgeway, Wirtz;
and grandsons, Todd, Eric, Dean, Marvin, Jacob and Adam. Graveside funeral
services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Cedar Lawn Burial Park by Dr. Joe R.
Bryant. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverdale
Baptist Church.
