W&L WOMEN SMASH EAGLES IN LACROSSE

Lisa Dowling scored five goals and Washington and Lee pulled away in the second half for a 14-6 women's lacrosse victory over Mary Washington on Saturday.

The Generals (5-1) led 5-4 at halftime and outscored the Eagles (2-2) 9-2 in the second half.

Nicole Ripken added three goals for the Generals and Angie Carrington and Kimberly Bishop had two each. - Staff report
