EMORY & HENRY SWEEPS PAST GENERALS

Emory & Henry used dominating pitching and timely hitting to sweep an Old Dominion Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader from Washington and Lee on Saturday.

Brian Turman fired a four-hit shutout and Chip Lockhart and Stephen James hit homers as the Wasps took the first game 12-0 for their first victory of the season.

In game two, Emory & Henry (2-7-1, 2-3-1) rallied with four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Chad Craft and Chuck Johnston each drove in two runs.
