PANTHERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED

The Ferrum baseball team ran its record to 15-0 with a doubleheader sweep of Newport News Apprentice on Saturday.

Kevin Alger (4-0) pitched into the seventh inning and Jeremy Hill drove in two runs as the Panthers won the first game 4-2.

In the second game, Eric Owens went 3-for-3 with four RBI and Randy Lawrence (4-0) earned the victory as Ferrum routed the Shipbuilders (7-7) 13-3. Staff report
