FROHM SAVES HOKIES IN VICTORY OVER KENT

Reliever Jonathan Frohm struck out two in the ninth inning with the tying run at second base to preserve a 5-4 Virginia Tech baseball victory over Kent at English Field on Saturday.

Frohm got his second save after relieving Tech ace Brad Clontz, who earned his sixth victory of the season.

The Hokies (16-2-1) got a two-run home run from Josh Haggas and key run-scoring hits by J.R. Hawkins and David Dallas.

Tech will play a doubleheader against West Virginia today, starting at 1 p.m. at English Field. - Staff report
