BUCCANEERS BEGIN SPRING WITH 10-4 WIN

The Salem Buccaneers had a successful start to their exhibition baseball season with a 10-4 victory over the Sarasota White Sox on Saturday.

Keith Thomas and Joe Ronca led the 13-hit Bucs attack with two hits each. Thomas stole two bases, scored two runs and had one run batted in. Ronca had two RBI. - Staff report
