The winning entries will be used as promotional posters for Valley Metro.
Artwork will be judged in two categories: pupils ages 10-13, and students 14-18. The first-place winner in each category will receive $100, the second-place winner $50; and honorable mention winners will be awarded a certificate.
All entries must be mounted or matted. Any medium may be used, and each entry must include a name, age and school on the back.
Winners will be announced during National Transit Week, May 11-15. Entries will be on display in the Campbell Court Transportation Center in downtown Roanoke during that week.
Deadline for entering is May 4; entries will be accepted at Valley Metro offices at 1108 Campbell Ave. from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
