Ms. Phylliss Alaska Harris, age 43, of 12th St. N.W., passed away in a local hospital on Monday. Survivors include her father, Richard Harris; on son, Travis J. Harris; one daughter, Bette Harris, all of Roanoke; five sisters, Emma Burch, Richmond; Ineatha Harris, Sun Valley, Calif.; Virginia Harris; Georgianna Gresham and Helen Harris, all of Roanoke; three brothers, Richard J. Harris, Robert B. Harris and James C. Harris, all of Roanoke; one grandchild; a devoted companion, Edgar Howard Barlow; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Burial in Williams Memorial Park. The family headquarters will be at the home of her sister, Helen Harris, 1514 Hanover Ave. N.W. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Chapel.
