ARTS COMMISSION PLANS GRANT WORKSHOPS

The Virginia Commission for the Arts will hold 14 grant application workshops across the state to help arts groups, educators, artists and local governments prepare applications for possible funding.

Two workshops will be held Monday at Central Fidelity Bank at Abingdon from 10 a.m. to noon, and the Rooftop of Virginia Community Action Program in Galax from 6 to 8 p.m.

Another will be held in Roanoke on March 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Roanoke schools Media Center on Douglas Avenue.

Workshops will provide information on changes to application deadlines caused by uncertainty over the commission's budget, among other things. Further information is available by calling (804) 225-3132.
