W.VA. MAN BEING HELD ON FUGITIVE CHARGE

A West Virginia man is being held in the Montgomery County jail on a fugitive charge from that state.

Leroy P. Mower, 48, of Princeton was arrested March 14 in Ironto on charges of possessing a stolen vehicle, authorities said. He was questioned by West Virginia State Police in connection with a slaying in Princeton on March 13.

A second man arrested with Mower, Bruce M. Grover, 55, of Erie, Pa. was released from jail later that day.

West Virginia authorities are not pursuing charges against Grover, who was believed to have been hitchhiking with Mower when arrested, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.

The two men had been arrested around midnight of March 14 at a truck stop on Interstate 81.
