DISC JOCKEY DROPS SUIT AGAINST WYTI

A former disc jockey has withdrawn his lawsuit against a Franklin County country-music station over his dismissal last year.

Bobby Dyal had claimed he was fired in June 1991, after six years with WYTI (1570 AM), because of a complaint he filed with a state agency about minor health hazards at the radio station office.

WYTI officials have said all along that the lawsuit had no merit and that Dyal was dismissed for other reasons.

The case had been set for trial today, but Dyal's attorney, Scott DeBruin, withdrew the lawsuit.
