OBIT - BLAIR, R.
BLAIR, REBA E. - Reba Elks Blair, 82 of Harrisonburg, Virginia, died
Tuesday in Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Unit. She was born in Grimesland,
N.C. on September 4, 1909, the daughter of the late John Jordan and Martha
Mills Elks. She was a retired nurse from Farmville Hospital. She was preceded
in death by her husband, William L. Blair, Jr. who was an area
conservationist. She is survived by a daughter, Martha B. Hawkins of Buena
Vista; one son, William L. Blair III of White, Ga.; one grandson, Christopher
S. Blair of Harrisonburg; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee Hawkins of
Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted from the Green Pond Baptist
Church, Chatham, Va. at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26 with the Rev. Robert E.
Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
