KARNES, LENA H. Lena Helen Karnes, age 75 of 4710 Casper Dr., N.E., died at her home Tuesday, March 24, 1992. Mrs. Karnes attended Worldwide Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Andrew J. Karnes; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Margaret King and husband, Karl; Sarah McKinney and husband, Wayne, Roanoke; Susan Porter, Fla.; Deborah Salter and husband, Tom, Roanoke; five sons and three daughters-in-law, James Karnes, Richmond; Cecil and Lawanda Karnes, Harry and Nancy Karnes, all of Roanoke; Andrew L. and Diane Karnes, Germany; Marshall Karnes, Troutville; one brother, Paul McCormick, Buchanan; sister, Doris Templeton, Waynesboro; 19 grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted at the graveside in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 1992 with the Rev. Britton Taylor officiating. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
