OBIT PRUITT, H.
PRUITT, HAROLD T. Mr. Harold Taylor Pruitt, age 63, passed away on March
25, 1992, at the University of Virginia Hospital. Mr. Pruitt was a retiree of
General Electric. He was the grandson of the late R. F. and Lilly Taylor of
Saltville, Va., and the son of Stella Taylor Pruitt and the Late Vonley D.
Pruitt of Richlands, Va. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his
wife, Shirley Widener Pruitt; two daughters, Diane Pruitt, Salem; Jane
Cheslow, Bryan, Texas; one son-in-law, David Cheslow; a much-loved grandson,
Adam Taylor Cheslow; two brothers, Jay Pruitt, Princeton, W.Va.; Vonley T.
Pruitt, Richlands; two sisters, Bonnie Kay Dye, Salem; Faye Schweingrouber,
Richlands; and ten nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00
p.m. Saturday, March 28, 1992, at Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, Va. The
family will receive friends 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the John M. Oakey &
Son Funeral Home, Salem. The body will be moved to Henderson Funeral Home,
Saltville, Va., on Friday, where the family will receive friends after 12:00
noon Friday and again Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the American Heart and/or Lung Associations or the organization of
choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the support of
friends, coworkers and neighbors during this trying time.
