SUSPENDED TOTER OF GUN MAY DROP OUT

THE NEWS story March 17 about a teen-ager carrying a gun to William Byrd High School said the principal suspended him for 10 days, with a possibility that he would be expelled.

There will be another dropout. I realize the problem needs attention, but I think it could be handled in a better way. RUTH CUNNINGHAM ROANOKE
