WEEK OF YOUNG CHILD ACTIVITIES PLANNED

The Southwest Virginia Association for Early Childhood Education will sponsor several activities to celebrate the Week of the Young Child, April 6-10.

A puppet show by Pizzazz will be held April 6 from 10-10:30 a.m., and the Roanoke Ballet will perform April 7 from 10-11 a.m. Both performances will be held in Virginia Western Community College's Whitman Auditorium.

A Teacher of the Year dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 8 at the Salem Civic Center.

Participating day-care centers will hold appreciation day April 9, and special museum tours will be given April 10.
