ROANOKER IS ELECTED REGENT OF VIRGINIA DAR

Suzanne Lipes of Roanoke has been elected state regent of the Virginia Daughters of the American Revolution, leading more than 9,200 members in 128 chapters.

Lipes, a member of the Roanoke Valley Chapter since 1965, has served as chapter regent, district secretary and director of District VII's 15 chapters, state registrar and most recently as state chaplain. She also is immediate past president of the Virginia Society, Colonial Dames XVII Century.
