FOUTZ, HERBERT L., SR.

Herbert L. Foutz, Sr., age 73 of Roanoke, died Wednesday at his home. He was a retired Engineer from the Norfolk & Western Railway and was a Marine Corp. veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Delores Foutz; five children, Judith Lee Handy, Diane Bogard, both of Roanoke; Herbert L. Foutz, Jr., Wis.; Tony Wayne Foutz and Timothy Houston Foutz, both of Roanoke; nine grandchildren, Lisa Diane McMillan, Angie Marie McMillan, Jeremy Tad Bogard, Jason Lee Handy, Mick A. Handy, Rick L. Handy, Corie Lynn Foutz, Johnathan Wayne Foutz, Zachary Houston Foutz; one great-grandchild, Jarred Kenneth Allen McMillan; six stepchildren, Denise Hayth, Goodview; Alice Betterton, Lavina Jordan, Valerie S. Jordan, Jr., Otha L. Jordan, Frank Jordan, all of Roanoke; one stepgranddaughter, Amanda Lynn Hayth; three sisters, Pauline Cochran, Claudine Hill, both of Salem; Lucille Craft, Vinton; three brothers, Rodney Foutz, Roanoke; Stanford Foutz, Emory; Donald Foutz, Sr., Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 1992 with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Moore, III officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with military honors by V.F.W Post #1264. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
