GALAX - Garnett Washington Bobbitt, age 65, Moore Lane, Galax, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 1992. He is survived by his wife, Betty H. Bobbitt; a daughter, Miss Martha E. Bobbitt, Galax; one son, Steven R. Bobbitt, Blacksburg; three sisters, Ethel Hawkins, Galax; Lura Carico, Galax; Clara Leonard, Galax; one brother, Clarence Bobbitt, Galax; a sister-in-law, Florence Bobbitt, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Harvey Carico officiating. Entombment in the Monta Vista Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
