NARROWS - Woodrow Wilson Deaton, age 77, died Thursday morning at his home. He was born in Graham, Va., on April 1, 1914, the son of the late James Nathan and Molly Belle Holbrook Deaton. He is survived by his two sisters, Vera D. Slaughter, Narrows; and Wray D. DeVault of Bluefield, W.Va.; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Jesus Church of Clendennin near Narrows. Burial will be in the Deaton Family Cemetery near the church. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
