$1.1 MILLION JACKPOT TAKEN BY 1 TICKET

One ticket matched all six numbers in Virginia's midweek Lotto drawing for a $1.1 million jackpot, lottery officials said Thursday.

The numbers drawn Wednesday night were 1-4-6-21-23-29.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Route 60 Grocery and Hardware at Gladstone in Nelson County, said lottery spokeswoman Cherie Phaup.

Phaup said 76 tickets matched five of the six numbers to win $719, and 2,963 won $39 each for matching four of six. Free plays will be given to 45,779 people who matched three numbers.

The jackpot for Saturday's drawing is expected to be $1.5 million. - Associated Press
