REGISTRATION SET FOR KINDERGARTEN

Registration for children who are entering kindergarten for the first time in Bedford County public schools will be April 30 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the school the child will attend.

A Social Security number, birth certificate, immunization record and report of physical examination will be necessary for complete registration.

Any child who is 5 years old on or before Oct. 31 may enter kindergarten. Any child who is 5 between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 may be evaluated at the school to determine readiness for kindergarten. This readiness evaluation will include a parent interview, child interview and observation.

Questions should be addressed to the school the child expects to attend.
