Solomon M. (Bill) Reedy, Jr., age 72, of Roanoke and formerly of Rt. 1, Fincastle, died Wednesday night in a Salem nursing home. He was retired from Yellow Freight System and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. Surviving her his wife, Aleen Givens Reedy; stepdaughter, Kay Kinderman, Racine, Wis.; stepgranddaughter, Katharine Kinderman; one sister, Charlotte Martin, Brentwood, Tenn.; one brother, Robert C. Reedy, Roanoke; sister-in-law, June Reedy, Millcreek; two very special stepgrandsons, Michael and Geoffrey Wilbourn; four stepgreat-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be from Oakey's North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 1992, with the Rev. James E. Park and Dr. Bill Wash officiating. Interment will be in the Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Fincastle Rescue Squad or the Fincastle Fire Department. The family will receive friends at Oakey's North Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
