OBIT THOMAS, C.

Carlton T. Thomas, age 64, of Rt. 2, Hardy, died Friday in a local hospital. He was retired from the Roanoke City School Board and was a Marine Corp veteran of World War II. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Thomas; a son, Steve Thomas; grandson, Jeffery Stewart, all of Hardy; two granddaughters, Tracy Arrington, Hardy; Heather Thomas, N.C.; a sister, Louise Cox; two nieces, Carol Lawson, Donna Robinson, all of Roanoke; his fiancee, Lethia Drewery, Roanoke; brother-in-law, Herman Minnix, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 1992, with the Rev. Carter L. Sloan officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge.
