FAMILY GRATEFUL FOR HELP AFTER FIRE

On Dec. 28, 1991, my worst nightmare came true. While I was at work at 4:30 a.m. my house caught on fire. Two of my children had woken up earlier and climbed into bed with my wife. The baby's crib was also in our bedroom. By the grace of God my most prized possessions were spared from any harm. All other possessions in our home were destroyed. My wife and I stood devastated after five hours of watching our home burn.

The days that followed were a humbling experience as the outpouring of affection kept coming in from family, friends, churches and people who didn't even know us. For this we are very thankful. The lesson this has taught us about the people from this area will never be forgotten. We are now in the cleanup process and will rebuild soon.

A special thanks to the Belspring-Parrott twin community and Fairlawn firefighters who risked their lives trying to save our home. Many thanks to all who have helped during our loss.\ Richard, Beth, Ericka, Randy and\ Trenton Gordon\ Radford
