Herbert Myers assisting, officiated the candlelight ceremony. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her grandfather, Gerald J. Gunderman.

The maid of honor was Cynthia Cauley, the groom's sister. The bridesmaids were Sarah Clark, Dana Distasio and Jennifer Levanduski, cousins of the bride. The best man was Robert F. Cauley, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Brian Cauley, the groom's brother and David and Joshua Townsend, the brothers of the bride.

The music was provided by the bride's aunt, Ardith Boggs on Celtic Harp, Wallace Easter on French Horn, and the Alleghany String Quartet. The reception followed in The Great Hall of Christ Church.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Townsend of Blacksburg, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cauley of Montpelier, Vermont.
