Wendy K. Leftwich of Elliston and Norman D. Croy of Blacksburg were united
in holy matrimony at six o'clock on Saturday, February 15, at Gateway Baptist
Church. Minister Johnny Laughridge of Blacksburg officiated the double-ring
ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Leftwich of
Elliston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Croy of Blacksburg.
The bride was escorted to the alter by her father and given in marriage by her
parents. Lisa Dudley of Christiansburg, best friend of the bride, was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Carbonneau of Maryland, neice of the bride;
Laurie Wood of Maryland, Tobi Carbonneau of Maryland, sisters of the bride.
The flowergirl was Stephanie Hollar of Christiansburg, cousin of the groom.
The best man was Rickey Hodge of Blacksburg, best friend of the groom. The
ushers were Darren Leftwich of Elliston, brother of the bride; Tommy Whitt of
Christiansburg, friend of the bride and groom; Bill Hollar of Pearisburg,
uncle of the groom. The ringbearer was Jared Wood of Maryland, nephew of the
bride. Sharon Goff served as pianist, and Tammy Wright was soloist. The bride
also sang "His And Hers" to her husband during the ceremony. The guestbook
attendant was Allison Keister, cousin of the groom. Shirley Fleet directed the
wedding. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The bride is a
1985 graduate of Gateway Christian Academy. The groom graduated from
Blacksburg High School in 1977, and both are presently employed with the
Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. After a short wedding trip, the couple
is residing in Blacksburg.
