HAWKS-KINNEY
Lisa Marea Kinney and John Lee Delano Hawks were married March 7, 1992, in
the Westside Church of Christ. The officiating minister was Glenn Colley. The
reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of the church. The maid of honor was
Stephanie Harr, friend of the bride. The matron of honor was Linda Hammond,
aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Pinkerton, cousin of the bride,
Stephanie McLaughlin, friend of the bride, and Amie Kinney, sister-in-law of
the bride. Flowergirls were Alisha LaPradd and Whitney Faw. The best man was
Rodger Hawks, father of the groom. Ushers were Jim Hancock, Perry Crosier,
Chad Young, and Keith Poff, friends of the groom. Ringbearer was Joe
McWilliams. The candlelighters were Scott Kinney and Dirk Hawks. The guestbook
was attended by Heather Hoback. A special thanks to Jenny and Richard Sterling
for the a cappela singing. The bride's Victorian ivory gown was lace over
satin. Her bouquet was a silk arrangement of mauve and off white roses. The
bride is a daughter of Robert D. and Gloria J. Kinney, of Salem. She graduated
from Salem High School and is employed by Kemba Credit Union. The groom is a
son of Rodger L. and Barbara Hawks, of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring
High School and Va. Western. He is employed by Kroger. After the wedding trip
to Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the newlyweds will live in Salem.
