RACE FANS UPSET WITH TV SWITCH

We NASCAR race fans are very upset. According to our schedule, the Motorcraft 500 from Atlanta was to be aired live at noon, Channel 13 (WSET) on March 15.

We had invited friends and fellow dedicated race fans to our home to watch this race and did not know until we read Saturday's Spectator section of the newspaper that a basketball tournament would take place of the scheduled race.

We are very upset. There are at least 10 times more fans of NASCAR than basketball. What gives?

This was not fair, especially since basketball lasts all year, and racing is only nine months. We will not watch Channel 13 in the future.

It [the race] was aired at midnight, but we working people cannot stay up at those hours, and to tape a delayed race is no fun. You already know the winner. We think we should be shown the same consideration as basketball fans to watch our sport.
