OBIT DOOLEY, J.

DOOLEY, JAMES R. James Robert "Huck" Dooley, age 78 of Roanoke, passed away Friday evening at his residence. He was a member, as well as Sunday school teacher and building and grounds volunteer, of Second Presbyterian Church; served in the Merchant Marines during World War II; and was retired from Norfolk and Western Railway Signal Department. Mr. Dooley was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Warren Dooley, and is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James W. and Shannon Massie Dooley, Blacksburg; John R. and Dorothy Yopp Dooley, Roanoke; one sister, Frances V. Cook, Daleville; four half sisters, Edith Darter, Hollins; Lucille Gray, Montvale; Dorothy Humphrey, Blue Ridge; Shirley Martin, Troutville; and one half brother, Tommy Dooley, Troutville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday from Second Presbyterian Church with Dr. William Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
