SALEM SETS SIGN-UP FOR KINDERGARTEN

Registration for children who are entering kindergarten for the first time in Salem schools will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28 through April 30 at the school the child will attend.

Any child who is 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 may enter kindergarten.

Children previously enrolled in private kindergartens and who will attend first grade in Salem schools for the first time next year also must be registered.

A Social Security number, birth certificate and immunization record will be necessary for complete registration.

Questions should be addressed to the school the child expects to attend.
