ROANOKE WOMEN BEAT HARTWICK IN LACROSSE

Jennifer Bessel's goal with 5:40 left in the game ignited a 3-0 Roanoke run en route to a 10-6 victory over Hartwick in women's lacrosse Saturday.

In the first 14 minutes of the second half, Roanoke (6-0) outscored Hartwick 3-0 to take an 8-4 lead. Hartwick (2-1) scored two goals later on, but it was futile as Roanoke also scored two goals to seal the victory.
