John G. Gray, age 84 of 885 S. Franklin Street, died Sunday, March 29, 1992, in Radford Community Hospital. Mr. Gray was a retired employee of N & W Railroad with over 47 years of service, a member of the United Brotherhood of Railway Workers for over 50 years, a member of McDaniel Lodge #86 A.F. & A.M. for over 47 years, Taylor Royal Arch Chapter #70 for over 46 years and Christiansburg Hunt Club for over 48 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Poff Gray. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John G., Jr. and Margaret Gray, Michael L. and Linda Gray, all of Christiansburg; one brother, Edgar Gray, Bluefield, W.Va.; two grandchildren, John Michael Gray, Lauren WhitneyGray, stepgranddaughter, Sherry Simpkins Vaughn. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Sidney Willis and the Rev. Kevin Payne. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Monday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
