Frances Matilda Patterson Davis, age 65, died Saturday, March 28, 1992, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born March 31, 1926, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Lace Patterson and Ader Standolph Patterson. She was a member of the Collierstown Baptist Church and employed at the Washington and Lee University. She was the widow of James William Davis. Surviving are one son, Billy Gene Davis, Virginia Beach; one sister, Mrs. Mary Montgomery, Lexington; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1992, in the Collierstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery officiated by the Rev. David Moore. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
